We’re delighted this week to be launching over 50 new bitesize videos in our Student Zone, with accompanying lesson plans for educators in schools and sixth form colleges. All the videos feature industry leaders and subjects covered include leadership, problem-solving, well-being and career journeys. We hope this will be a fantastic resource for both students and educators.
Created using edits of speaker footage from our annual Leadership Symposiums, speakers include Steve Murrells, CEO of Co-Op, Sir Terry Leahy, Dave Lewis, CEO of Tesco, Paralympian Hannah Cockcroft MBE, ex England cricketer Matt Prior and many more.
The videos and lesson plans provide links to key Business Studies and Physical, Social and Health Education curriculum areas and initial feedback form educators has been extremely positive.
Lucy Hargreaves, Employability Programme Coordinator at The College of Richard Collyer in Horsham said:
“I’ve watched the video clips and taken a look at the lesson plans. They look great! The video clips are long enough to convey the message but not so long that students would get bored halfway through.”
Chris Jennings, Head of Business at Cardinal Newman College in Preston said:
“I loved the activities and think they will be superb for students to use. The Neil Campbell video on branding is fantastic as that is a topic I am ‘delivering’ remotely next week for our students and I had designed an exercise pretty similar. The teamwork lessons are also brilliant for BTEC Units ‘Managing an Event’ or ‘Teamwork in Business.’ In our college, we have introduced a Careers Week when subjects have to deliver careers workshops to classes and these resources are 100% perfect for that.”
All the videos can be found on our Student Zone and schools/colleges should get in touch to access the free lesson plans.
