ABP Food Group was founded in Ireland in 1954 and made its first venture into the UK food industry in 1981. Since then, we’ve gone from strength to strength, working with some of the biggest names in retail and food service, and some of the most forward-thinking experts from across the agricultural industry.
Over the last 35 years ABP has grown to become one of the world’s leading food production companies. It’s our commitment to quality and our determination to surpass expectation that’s earned us our market-leading position. ABP have been delivering quality, value and integrity since 1981.
It’s always our goal to be the best at what we do. As pioneering food manufacturers, we always aim to embrace the very latest ideas in innovation, animal welfare and sustainability – so that for now, and well into the future, we can continue to adapt to the shape of the market and lead the UK food industry on key issues.
At ABP Food Group we have built our success on entrepreneurship, technological investment and a deep knowledge of the sectors in which we operate. As key stakeholders in the food supply chain we’re dedicated to ensuring the full traceability of our products.
ABP Food Group works with a network of over 35,000 farmers and is renowned for paying its suppliers on the day of delivery at strategically located local abattoirs that minimise animal transport distances.
ABP Food Group contributes an estimated 1.3bn each year into the rural economies in which it operates.
We recognise that the farmers who supply meat to us are vital partners in ensuring that the quality of our product is maintained and traceability is ensured.
