We welcome text donations of any size, just add the number after WOIE. For example,
To donate ÂŁ5 text WOIE 5 to 70490
To donate ÂŁ10 text WOIE 10 70490
To donate ÂŁ20 text WOIE 20 70490
Texts cost the amount of your donation, plus one standard rate message and you’ll be opting in to hear more about our work and fundraising via telephone and SMS. If you’d like to give your donation, but do not wish to receive marketing communications, text WOIENOINFO followed by the amount you donated (eg, 5, 10, 20,) to 70490.
Giving money to charity as a company is an allowable expense, meaning that you can pay less Corporation Tax as a result. Deduct the value of your charitable donations from your total business profits before you pay tax each year.
Individual donations bring additional benefits. Not only does your basic rate tax threshold increase by the value of any charitable donations you make, but the charity also receives tax back on your donation, meaning they get 120% of your total gift. If you’re a higher-rate taxpayer, you can claim back the difference between the tax you have paid on the donation and what the charity got back when you fill in your tax return.
