There are lots of different volunteering opportunities open to young people – local to where you live, elsewhere in the UK, regular volunteering opportunities, longer term projects or overseas but how can you find them?
Local adverts
Keep an eye out for adverts for volunteers in local newspapers or on noticeboards in local shops or community centres. Ask around in your networks or speak to people you know who are already volunteers locally.

Volunteer Centres are often a good place to start looking for volunteering opportunities in your local area. They can find out what you’re interested in doing, and try to match you with a suitable volunteering role with a local charity or voluntary organisation.
