As part of our Career Pathways Programme, we held our inaugural sell-out virtual Masterclass on Thursday 10 June with ITV for hundreds of 16-19 year olds nationwide. The aim of the Masterclass was to provide young people with breadth and depth about the sector and ITV; the different career opportunities and pathways available; the key skills, qualities and attributes ITV look for, and to teach them about their recruitment process. There was also a live Q&A session that provided details around apprenticeships and opportunities at ITV, how to go about standing out, and diversity and inclusion within the Organisation.
Robbie Morton, Senior Resourcing Manager at ITV said: “Here at ITV, we have really enjoyed working closely with Working Options in Education to begin delivering Masterclasses to help students understand what we do, our inclusive culture and how they can apply for our opportunities with some useful tips along the way. It is important for us to get the best future talent into ITV and working in partnership helps our reach across the UK to different schools and educational establishments for entry level roles in media.”
Feedback from the students was extremely positive and so we are planning to extensively roll this out now, as it is very obvious that young people are concerned about their future and are keen to hear from companies on what their future prospects might look like.
