A warm welcome to Rachel Roxburgh who joined us on 1 October as Strategic Lead for the organisation.
Rachel has always worked in the third sector, primarily with Cancer Research UK, building and heading up their phenomenally successful 5km women’s event: Race for Life, from the start. She then moved into more strategic roles in their community team and preparing the charity for the major appeal around the Crick Institute. Rachel was then Director of Fundraising at the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award creating a business proposition to engage the Corporate sector into recognizing the value of the Gold Award as part of training staff. She was appointed inaugural CEO of Dallaglio RugbyWorks, strategically shifting Lawrence Dallaglio’s charity from grant-giving to having their own service provision – a national employability skills programme working with disengaged young people who have been excluded from mainstream education.
“I have been very impressed with the punch this small charity has in helping students realise their potential in the world of work, says Rachel. “I very much look forward to building on the success and working alongside the passionate Board, team and supporters.”
