Due to COVID-19, the young people we support are facing a crisis – in education, employment prospects and in acquiring the skills and capabilities they need for their future. Help us bridge this gap for them by fundraising for us.
Young people are facing the double whammy of disrupted education and a tough labour market. This is extremely worrying given the extensive evidence that being unemployed when you are young can have lasting impacts in later life, including a higher risk of unemployment, lower pay, poorer mental health, and diminished life chances. Our programme to give young people the employability and life skills they need to fulfil their potential is even more vital.
1) Donate now – we are grateful for donations of all sizes.
2) Take part in our Tamar to Tyne Bridge Challenge during March/April 2021 and get sponsored to run, cycle or walk the 571km distance between the bridges – either as a team of four or 100 km+ if you take part as an individual. Download our March 2021 Challenge Flyer and joining instructions to get set-up.
3) Organise your own Bridge the Gap 2021 fundraiser event with colleagues, friends and family.
Please support #BridgeTheGap2021 so we can continue to deliver our free employability and life skills programme and give young people a fair chance in life post-education.
