We are sad to announce that Rachel Roxburgh, our CEO, has decided to move on from Working Options in Education to go back to her consultancy, but we are delighted to welcome Sue Maskrey who will be joining Working Options in Education as our new CEO.

With almost 20 years of experience in the charity sector, Sue has dedicated her career to supporting young people to achieve their potential. Sue spent more than a decade helping to establish education charity Brightside as a national authority on mentoring, and more recently headed up Hackney-based charity Inspire, celebrating and furthering the diversity and talent of local young people in East London.   Great experience to bring to our work.

On Rachel’s departure, Paul Monk, our Co-Founder said:
“Rachel has achieved so much for our charity in such a short period of time and nearly all of that during the very challenging couple of years impacted by the Covid pandemic. We now have a clearer strategy and broader fundraising platform that ensures we are in very good shape for the future.
We welcome Sue to Working Options in Education and very much look forward to working together and wish her every success in her role.”

Sue starts on Monday 3rd October and very much looks forward to meeting all our wonderful volunteers, supporters, educators and students.
