Kate Cherry one of our long-standing volunteer speakers and Regional Director for the Athena Network is dusting off her bike riding 200kms in four weeks in aid of our Bridge the Gap fundraising challenge.
“I’ve volunteered with Working Options in schools and colleges for several years and now online, but they need our financial support in order to keep doing this good work. I’ve seen first hand how it can help build confidence and empower young people to appreciate that they are not defined by their background and that they have it in them to achieve whatever they want.”
Kate, who starts her bike ride on 14 September said, “My bike is dusty and old, I hate saddle ache, I have dodgy hips and back, so this is huge for me.”
We thank Kate and wish her well in her challenge and hope she raises lots of money for us!
